Annual Irrigation Service Program

Wouldn’t you like to take the worry out of maintaining your irrigation system? The Northwest Gardener, Inc. offers a year long, hassle-free maintenance program that will keep your system running at top efficiency.  Our program includes three visits per year (see specifics below).

Start up (March-April)
Your system will be pressurized and checked for leaks.  Each zone will be checked for proper coverage.  Each head will be checked and adjusted to ensure efficient operation.  Your controller will be set to maximize water use.  We will provide an evaluation of your entire system, and a written proposal outlining recommended repairs.   A written estimate for repair of damaged components will be provided at the conclusion of the start up.

Backflow Assembly Certification (once annually)
Water districts throughout the state require annual testing of your backflow prevention device.  The purpose of the backflow device is to prevent contamination of the public water supply.  Backflow devices allow water into your system, but do not allow your irrigation water to escape back into the public water system.  Annual testing by a Washington State Certified Backflow Technician relieves you from any liability resulting from contamination.

Winterization (October-November)
The Northwest Gardener, Inc. will use compressed air to remove virtually all the water in your system.  This prevents broken pipes, and other components, caused by water freezing and expanding.  We cannot be responsible for any components upstream from the main shut off.
